Kristal's other fashion projects include designing & creating jewelry for the Jimmy Buffet Band backup singers & dancers. Kristal also teaches worldwide and on cruise ships.

Kristal recently teamed up with JHB to manufacture and distribute her new product line and launched two finished fabric bead lines: Sassy Silkies and Batik Beauties winter 2009.

Kristal released her first self published book in 2005, Sassy Silky Savvy and her latest Interweave Press release, Fabulous Fabric Beads, fall 2008 and has been a best seller in 5 categories on Amazon.com since its release.

2009 - 3rd place in the K. Gottfried, Inc. Worldwide Design Contest, finalist for another piece

2008 - Bead & Buttons Bead Dreams competition

2008 - Interweaves Bead Star competition

2008 - 3rd place in the international design competition sponsored by the Washington DC Bead Museum, Celebrating Beads.

She has also appeared on HGTV and PBS numerous times. Her designs have been featured in over 29 publications including: Belle Armoire, Lapidary Journal, Stringing, Beadwork, Bead Style, Crafts Business, Simply Beads, SewNews, Sewing Savvy, Piecework, Step by Step Beads, Crafts Report, Vogue Patterns, & Bead Unique.
